The Helios corporation was founded around the same time as Sanguine, with the express purpose of designing weapons systems capable of dealing with the Fury threat. The company has since expanded its operations into robotic design, creating the Jet Alone system in hopes of taking Sanguine’s place (and U.N. funding) as the primary anti-Fury fighting force of the world. Helios’ main investors are the individual nations that make up the U.N., who see the central government’s control of nearly invulnerable fighting machines (the Titans) as a threat to their national sovereignty. To combat this threat they have placed their hopes in the Jet Alone system. Tragically, the director of the Jet Alone project recently died aboard the U.S.S. Oppenheimer, during the recovery of the Dirge of Dis. This event was made even more tragic as many saw Commander Algernon Blackwood’s invitation to the director as a sign of reconciliation. Now, tensions between Sanguine and Helios are more strained than ever.
